Just read that Stan Lee, the genius behind some of Marvel comics best superheroes, has passed away. The man was 95 years old and if I live that long, I hope I'm that feisty and full of life--may he rest in peace.

VACATION!

Well my dear friends, I am leaving for my vacation--I am going on a tour of Switzerland and Austria--WOO HOO!! Of course, I am freaking out about the flights but what can you do? It's either fly or take a ship, which would take too damn long.

It’s May 1^st and I wasn’t chosen May Queen—AGAIN!! :):)

I am, however, overjoyed that my show Elementary is back. I’ve missed Sherlock and Joan hanging out together and effortlessly solving crimes while being awesome friends and partners. I am worried about Sherlock’s head trauma and now we’ve got this Michael character lurking around who may or may not be a serial killer.

Looks like a good season.

This story keeps getting more and more horrifying. Please read this article on the collateral Allison gave to her "mentor" Keith Raniere who is now sitting in federal jail under a sex trafficking indictment. I can't believe this is the same person who was all about helping people and being the best actress she could be who talked about loving her family and friends and wanting to live a good life.

I saw her in two off-Broadway plays and I was convinced she was going to have huge success on the stage but look at her now, giving up her life to be a pimp for a conman rapist. Damn tragic.

Olympic Free Dance!

Congrats to the Shibs for winning that bronze medal, I couldn't be prouder of them :):)

I felt badly for Hubbell/Donohue--they almost wanted it too much and if you're too desperate, mistakes happen.

I am not a fan of Chock/Bates but even I felt bad at seeing Chock's devastation at their falling on the spin--as a fan , you want everyone to skate their best and to make it a good competition. I wonder if both teams will be going to Worlds for vindication?

So now that Scott Moir has been crowned king of the ice dancing world like he thought he should have in 2014, can he go away now?

Olympic Fever :)

So, this has been one heck of an Olympics :) First we had Adam Rippon being fabulous and over the top and as much as I love the Shibs, I am thrilled that we have Madison Hubbell and Zach Donohue being in 3rd place after the short dance while Chock and Bates languish in 7th--WOO HOO!!

My fondest Free dance wish? For Scott Moir to fall on his smug and over-entitled ass. I might have to prepare myself for that unpleasant, un-sportsmanlike douche canoe to win another ice dancing gold medal--no bueno.

Oh man, I was going to see the I, Tonya movie but now I don't think I can--I hadn't realized the film was trying to make Tonya into a victim.
I'm with Johnny Weir, Nancy is the only victim in this story.

New US Ice Dance Champions!

As badly as I feel for the Shibs--Maia looked shell-shocked coming off the ice--I couldn't be prouder of Hubbell and Donohue for winning their first US ice dancing gold medal. They took the opportunity handed to them and the put down a smoldering and passionate free skate--WOO HOO!!

I'm also kind of loving Chock and Bates having to choke on a bronze :):)

US Nationals! WOO HOO!!!

First, Ice Dancing: as much as I love my Shib sibs, I adore Hubbell and Donohue and I love that H/D are in second place over the wretched Chock and Bates. I would be okay if either the Shibs or H/D won Nationals--the teams are both wonderful in their own individual way..

Second, I am massively proud of Mirai Nagasu and Karen Chen for giving us such gorgeously emotional and well skated long programs. I do not like Bradie Tennel, she is too much of an ice princessy technician with zero heart or artistry. and I also think the judges were ridiculous in their obviously pushing her--Bradie's component scores were higher then Mirai, Karen and Ashley Wagner who are beautifully artistic and anyone with eyes can see that Bradie is as stiff as a board when it comes to emotions.

Third,I am looking forward to an excellent men's competition. Go Nathan and Adam :)

New Year's Eve!!

For the past week, we've been enduring frigidly arctic temperatures, I’m talking the average temp is 23 degrees Fahrenheit—tomorrow it will be 18 degrees—and we will continued to have this cold into the end of this week.

So my wish for 2018 is to have normal temperatures for the correct time of year—no more of this arctic air, we’re supposed to have temps in the late 20’s and 30’s. Come on thermometer, get past the freezing mark!

It wasn't too horribly hot or humid which is rather awesome but now it looks like it's getting cloudy--the rain needs to hold off because we still need to have the fireworks portion of the holiday to happen:)

I had the great privilege to walk across London Bridge when I visited that awesome city, and you feel a part of the great history behind the city and gorgeous bridge. I can just imagine the fear of all of the innocent people who just happened to be there—my prayers are with all of the victims and their families.
