Christmas shopping--YIKES!

This is a record for me—I actually bought my first Christmas gift today, and it's only November.  I'm usually the person freaking out in mid-December, wondering where the time went as I frantically buy gifts.

And in case you were wondering, I am taking my mom to see the ballet The Nutcracker—we will be going to the 12pm Dec. 26^th show, so the whole Christmas freak out will be over and we can just relax and enjoy the day.

I'm doing well Christmas-wise too - I bought D's Christmas present today, and he's usually IMPOSSIBLE to buy for, so I'm feeling very pleased with myself :)

LOVE the Nutcracker! Watching Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland when I was a kid was what got me into ballet. Sigh, good times. I'm pretty sure I would break both ankles if I tried to go en pointe today (*g*), but I sometimes still dream I'm 16 and dancing away. It's sort of neat to be that limber again! lol

I took dance lessons when I was young as well--I was not a serious ballerina though. More jazz and tap :)
