I am a daughter, sister and an aunt, but not a mom--that I know of! :):)
The reasons for my starting this live journal are as follows: to post my fanfic—I started with Smallville and Chlex, moved onto H50/McDanno, then onto the Sherlock Holmes fandom specifically Johnlock, now I'm currently reading/writing in the rebooted Star Trek fics, Supergirl, The Flash and Game of Thrones fandoms—to talk about my favorite TV shows/movies/books/Broadway plays, and to complain about life in general :):)
I realize that I only like certain aspects of the X-Men movies and by that I mean I like the younger versions of the characters, and not because I love James McAvoy, which is true but I also love Patrick Stewart. I just really hate the whole Wolverine/Jean Grey/Cyclops triangle because it makes all of them look stupid and pathetic and I end up disliking all three of the idiots.
And while I love the rebooted Star Trek films, I have recently started watching the original Star Trek series thanks to the 50th anniversary marathon BBC America ran in September 2016. The show is positively fabulous and it helps me to adore the alternate series movies just as deeply.
Any and all versions of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson are wonderful in my book: the Guy Ritchie movie version, the BBC Sherlock version, and now the Elementary version are all fascinating in their own right and all worthy of praise.
I am still a fan of Scott Caan and Alex O'Loughlin, but I have to admit that my love for Hawaii Five-0 in the current season is gone. I miss the awesome McDanno friendship that we used to get to see every week and I've really felt its absence on the show since the mid-half of S3 and I don't like it. At all!
Supernatural--I love that this show about demon hunting brothers is such a multi-layered family drama and not just a show about hot men fighting supernatural badness. However, I do not like the show's depiction of Purgatory and what is up with angels being expelled from Heaven? YIKES!
I do adore musical theater and plays but I have to admit to being a bit of a snob when it comes to which plays I will pay money to see. For example, I won't see the musical Ghost or Saturday Night Fever--I already paid $10 to see it at the movies, why would I pay $80 to see a live version of it?
