What if this was a silent film? Pride and Prejudice and Zombies :):)

Do yourself a favor and watch this extremely enjoyable movie:):)

It wasn’t overly bloody which can sometimes happen in zombie movies—the one fight sequence has Elizabeth and her sisters in lovely gowns (Lizzie is also wearing long white gloves) and the entire time they’re killing zombies and there isn’t a speck of blood on them—and I particularly loved that we got the classic Jane Austen dialogue in the middle of scenes of the Bennet girls sparring or cleaning their weapons.

And my most favorite scene was Darcy’s first proposal to Elizabeth, where he insults her terribly and in this version, Elizabeth and Darcy have an epic fight sequence complete with throwing objects and then pulling knives on each other.  It was very well done, with the right touch of humor and campiness mixed in with JA’s gorgeous romance.

Now I have to read the actual novel :):)

I'm so glad to hear it was good. Rotten Tomatoes had me believing it was taking itself too seriously and losing the spirit of the book. I'll have to see it now. :)

ETA: I mean, I really should stop believing the consensus on Rotten Tomatoes anyway. Do you know they gave Clue 62%? Pfft! Philistines!

You really can't got by critics--you have to see movies based on your own gut feeling. At least, that's always worked for me :)
