Oh man, SNOW!!

And here I was, hoping against hope that we could go a winter season without any god-forsaken snow, but we're getting hit with a storm Friday night, into Saturday night--DAMN!!!    Some weather people are saying up to 12 inches--pray with me that it's less and that more importantly, we don't lose power. :):)

Freakishly, where I am is only supposed to get a couple inches max out if it. And even that is iffy. Mostly it's going south.

Am looking at the same amount here- but happily for me, power's almost never an issue. I hope that you catch a break and it all goes smoothly and is nothing more than a good excuse to stay indoors!

That's the only good thing about winter weather - it takes the guilt out of hibernating! :)

I was thinking about it and the last power outtage we had was in 2014 and that was after an icestorm and we've had snow since, so hopefully we will be okay :):)

Here in DC we're bracing for up to 30 inches. This, in a city that, just two days ago, was paralyzed after getting ONE inch of snow. (Seriously, several of my friends reported 5+ hours commutes for trips that normally take 1 hour or less!).

I hope you've got basic grocery supplies, fresh batteries for radios/flashlights, and your power company on speed-dial. ( I hope you (and I!) don't lose power, but it pays to be prepared no matter what.)

Hope we both get through the storm OK! I'm not on LJ often, but if I have Internet I'll check in to see how you're doing. (So far in Alexandria VA we have 6 inches, but the worst is supposed to hit around 2 am into Saturday.)

Be safe! And I agree with the poster above who said that the best thing about winter weather is that it takes the guilt out of hibernating. *G*

Yes we have supplies and batteries for flashlights and candles out the wahzoo--I just don't want to lose power.
