Snow and US Nationals :):)
Well it's now about 6pm EST and while it's still snowing, I still have power, so I'm doing well :):) And while I love that I'm warm and dry, what I'm really loving the most is watching my US Ice Skating Nationals and of course, I have some gloating to do :):)
The Shibutanis have won the US Dance title! Yes my friends, the wonderful brother and sister team who have been treated unfairly by many judges because of their youth have finally broken through with a gorgeous and flawless free skate and they were placed first winning the gold medal, beating Chock and Bates. Take that bitches!!
I think this is the year for upsets because the Pairs couple who won gold, Kayne and O’Shea (of course it's a tough Irish couple skating to a beautiful Phantom of the Opera long program), won over the favorites and Polina Edmunds is ahead of both Gracie Gold and Ashley Wagner going into the Ladies Free Skate. I can't wait for tonight :):)
ETA: All three girls put down great performances--I am proud of all three and good for Gracie Gold for skating to win. Now onto Worlds :)
