RIP James Garner

Actor James Garner has died at 86.  My entire family, especially my dad, adored The Rockford Files--my dad always loved how Rocky's best friend Angel was kind of smarmy but in the end a good guy--and James Garner always seemed so larger than life in the role.  God bless him and his family.

Gutted. Can't believe he's gone :( I knew him mostly from 8 Simple Rules, which he starred in for seasons 2 and 3 after John Ritter passed away.

I felt the same way. I used to watch The Rockford Files every weekend. Loved it, loved sitting with my mom every weekend. Saturday's I think? Wow, can't remember.

My brother was all about Wild, Wild West, but he liked Rockford enough that it was a family affair. My sister too sometimes. WWW was on Sunday mornings, pretty sure. Rockford Saturdays.

James Garner will be missed. :(

He was fabulous in that wasn't he? I also loved him in The Children's Hour--a very intense movie.
