Need to talk about Star Trek :):)

kitmerlot_1213I adored Star Trek: The Next Generation and my epic crush on Captain Picard (and Patrick Stewart himself) remains until this day, and I still need to see Picard and Dr. Beverly Crusher being romantically adorable together—don’t get me started that the very first ST: TNG movie had them already divorced but don’t worry, we got to see Deanna fucking Troi marry Riker in Nemisis—so I decided to give the original show a chance because of how much I love the rebooted movies.
I must say, I have been enjoying the CRAP out of the original series! My favorite character is and will always be Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy—the Deforest Kelly version or Karl Urban's—because he calls both Kirk and Spock out when they need him too, which is often. I also think Leonard Nimoy was a very talented actor—I loved his William Bell on Fringe—and I can see why this role made him a star.
All in all, it’s rather cool to know that a show that was on fifty years ago and only lasted three seasons, has such a lasting effect on fandom.
