I don't think it's weird at all. I sometimes remember what a punch to the gut S4 was to all of the Chlex fans--all the showrunners could talk about was Lana's make-over and how Parisian and carefree she was going to be and they barely mentioned Chloe and the bomb explosion. And then Chloe and Lex didn't even interact for the first fifteen episodes because the show was so focused on the ridiculous Clark, Lana, Lex triangle that they had to keep AM and MR away from each other because the Chlex would have blown the lame Lexana out of the water. I wish the show had the guts to actually go with the actors who had chemistry and just ditched KK's Lang.
