The Skating Season Has Begun--YEAH!!

I am thrilled that skating has begun again but Sandra Bezic has got to go as a commentator. I especially loved how Scotty Hamilton pwned her ass when they were calling the Mens' Free Skate. Bezic starts whining that the non-North American skaters were having a hard time getting used to the NHL sized rinks--they're used to Olympic sized rinks--and Scotty points out that the skater she was making excuses for was actually an American skating for Japan who grew up 100 miles from where the competition was being held. Bezic stupidly responds back with a "I guess you're right!"
Shut up Bezic before you look like even more of an idiot.
I'm proud of the depth of skill the U.S. has to offer. I am especially excited by the dominance North America has shown in Ice Dance. I just keep thinking that the Russian Federation is beside themselves that the Winter Games are coming to their country in 2014 and they do not have any strong contenders in any of the four disciplines. The Ladies' and Mens' events are dominated by the Japanese with maybe an upset by a lucky American/Canadian/Europeon. The pairs event is a crap shoot between the German World Champions and the Chinese pairs and ice dance will be a battle between the top American and Canadian couples with the French couple coming third.
Choke on that Plushenko!
