A December Meme: Ramble #2

I noticed that all of my December meme compatriots were making individual posts for their rambles, so I am now following suit :):)

For Dec. 6th, the lovely stellarmeadowwanted to know:  What would you like John's reaction to be to seeing Sherlock when BBC Sherlock resumes?

I have read so many different interpretations of this in fics but my personal favorite reaction would be a non-reaction. 

I don’t want John to curse at Sherlock or throw a punch, I want him to be so completely in shock, to be so stunned, that the two of them just stare at each other in silence, maybe Sherlock tries to talk but John can’t speak, he’s so overcome with emotion he just leaves the room.

The shouting and anger and of course forgiveness would come later.

I also think that John made a clean break from his relationships with Lestrade, Molly and Mrs. Hudson and I don't think for one instant he interacted with Mycroft.  I'm sure that Mycroft kept an eye on him but he didn't actually call John or try and talk to him.  Re:  Greg and Mrs. Hudson, I'm sure that in the first year of Sherlock's death, he still hung out with them, but when John decided to move on with his life, he probably chose to let those friendships go to.  It will be interesting to see the old gang get back together in S3.
