kitmerlot_1213: (Christmas/Holy Family)

I hope everyone who celebrates has a very Merry Christmas and if you don't, I hope your Wednesday is peaceful :)

My mom and I went to Midnight Mass which is always very beautiful but I had a weird sudden thought:  I've seen Manger scenes were the Baby Jesus isn't wrapped in swaddling clothes and my first thought is always, "Someone needs to cover that kid up or he'll catch a cold."     Bizarre I know :)

I also got to watch my two Christmas classics, Its a Wonderful Life (I cry like a baby every time George realizes that he doesn't care what happens to him, he just wanted his family back) and A Christmas Carol (so gorgeously emotional the minute Scooge realizes that he's treating his nephew as cruelly as his dad treated him)--two wonderful movies that always get me in the Christmas spirit.

Very cool indeed :)

If you want to share, what are some of your Christmas traditions?

Merry Christmas to you too, my dear!

How funny about the baby - good point, although having a summer Christmas, I must admit it had never occurred to me! ;-)

I think it is so cool that our seasons are opposite and I'm glad that you don't think I'm too crazy :)

There's definitely something to having different seasons at different times, and no, you're not too crazy at all! ;-)

Merry late Christmas to you. I think IaWL is the most tear jerky movie. I cry multiple times. But that first scene with young George and Mr Gower? Dead!

And I love the Alastair Sim Scrooge, especially when he hears his sister's dying words to take care of her boy and starts begging her to forgive him!
