but I’m okay with the top three finishers at the ladies event—the only problem I have has to do with Adelina’s being so over-scored.  I mean, the judges should make an attempt to make it less obvious.  But then again, Yuna Kim was over-marked in Vancouver, so you live by the sword, you die by the sword.  I also think Yuna was following the Michelle Kwan way off thinking, in that “All I have to do is stay vertical and I’ll win gold”, forgetting that there are younger skaters behind her, doing technically more difficult programs.

I also have to wonder why Tara and Johnny hate Ashley Wagner as much as they do.  Scotty and Bezic were infinitely fairer to her and that just freaks me out.  I get that the USFSA wants Gracie Gold to be their new face, to be their Number# 1 skater, but they don’t have to be quite so awful to Ashley.

I am proud of how well our Americans did and I'm glad that Mao was able to finish up with such a lovely free skate.

Lol, I agree with you on Yuna. I guess you can say the same about Patrick Chan. He never paid the price for his falls until it counted the most!

Exactly! Both Yuna and Chan have benefited from generous marks and now they've lost gold medals because of favoritism working against them. DAMN!

Do you think the audience have been supported of all of the skaters? Some people at TWOP think that the audience has been openly rude to non-Russian skaters.

I had heard something similar on Twitter. Some of the people watching the live feed felt they the audience was cheering mistakes made by non-Russian skaters. For example, they supposedly cheered when Gracie fell and when Yuna had a wobbly landing.

That's pretty crappy! I get that a Russian crown would cheer loudly for their skaters, but to cheer when people fell down? That's sick.

And completely contrary to how skating fans typically act. Most skating fans, no matter what country, are known to be encouraging to skaters. They boo judges, not skaters!

I thought Polina was underscored. She's simply beautiful to watch. I was glad that Carolina won a metal.

Polina did well technically, but she definitely needs polish and I think that's why her grade of execution scores were so low.
