Well, the season finales have been hit or miss this TV season and now my community theater is letting me down.
I hated the Supernatural finale--yes, I like that Sam was so affected by what happened to Dean and I like that Castiel's getting his angel army back and that they stopped Metaron's evil scheme but I hate that Dean's some kind of mark of Cain inspired demon. That is seriously maddening.
I saw a modern day adaptation of Julius Caesar that was very well done but at another theater I saw the crappiest farce that was ever produced. I'm not even going to give the title of the "play" because it doesn't deserve to be known but it was horrendous. It had a character speaking in a high falsetto, screaming a lot and he had to make quick changes into a nun's habit. I had no idea it was going to be that stupid. but my mom wanted to see it. YIKES!

Date: 2014-05-22 05:46 am (UTC)Dean has been a bit of an arrogant dickhead several times before over the seasons, but 9.22 was the first time that I've actually really, really hated him, to the point where I didn't want to watch any more. Now you could say that it's good writing and acting if it gets such a strong emotion out of a viewer, but personally I think it's counter-productive if you make a character who's supposed to be a hero so unsympathetic that it makes a viewer turn the show off.
Plus, I find Metatron to be such a whiny bitch, and not even *interesting* as a character, just annoying.
I am *so* over angels it's just not true, even Castiel. I've no problem at all with major story arcs (*waves at Person of Interest*), I just want the brothers back fighting together, because that partnership is what drew me to the show in the first place.
I'll be over here in the corner watching S3 again.
