So, of course I had to do a BBC Sherlock inspired drabble, exactly 100 words for the Number Challenge at
1_million_words:
"Do you realize how lucky you are?"
Sherlock glanced up wearily, his brief smile a pained grimace.
"In what way, Doctor?"
John shook his head in disbelief. "I just had to put 39 stitches in your arm because you couldn't wait for the police."
He held up his two fingers, mere centimeters apart. "The knife blade was this close to your artery." John turned away, hiding his left hand. "You could have been killed," he whispered.
“I’m sorry,” Sherlock muttered quietly, his uninjured hand covering John’s trembling one.
John caught Sherlock’s fingers with his own. “I just want you well.”
