“Yes, indeed it is,” Sherlock agreed absently.
Joan shook her head in wonderment and disgust at the sheer amount of partially digested food currently soaking through the floor and sofa cushions.
“I never could get used to the smell,” Joan muttered quietly. “I hated the E.R. rotation because invariably patients would start puking up on you and then I’d…”
“Yes that’s all very well,” Sherlock interrupted, “but the question remains: what could this girl have eaten that would cause this amount of vomiting?”
Joan stood in thoughtful silence. “A seven course dinner, including extra desserts?”
