kitmerlot_1213So much to talk about regarding my favorite TV shows but I would like to take a minute to talk about how impressed I am by France’s reactions to the Parisian terror attacks. I am proud of them for rallying so quickly and acting so decisively against the bad guys. Good for them and Viva la France!
I also saw Benedict Cumberbatch’s Hamlet and it was just as wonderful as I hoped. I was impressed by how well the modern sets and costumes flowed with the Shakespearian dialogue but I did miss my favorite line from the Act 1, scene 1: “Tis’ bitter cold and I am sick at heart.” Right then and there, we know that all is not well in Denmark.
If National Theater Live was smart, they’d be selling DVDs of this movie because they’d make awesome Christmas gifts for the Cumberbatch fan on your list. I know I’d buy one :):)
I also love how we will be getting more extensive figure skating coverage--now that NBC has bought the rights to showing the events.
Both of the DC comic book shows are wonderful with two strong heroic individuals at their center and awesome supporting characters. I appreciate that on Supergirl, Helen Slater and Dean Cain are Kara’s foster parents and I like the nods the show gives to Superman and his mythos while creating Kara’s. On The Flash, I love all of the characters popping in from Earth 2 and that we get to see another version of Dr. Wells along with another Flash and another Reverse Flash, Zoom.
Blindspot and The Blacklist continue to be intriguing and I just want more Tom Keen.
Elementary is still my ultimate favorite and I adore how Joan, Gregson and Bell are so completely on Sherlock’s side and I like that he realizes what an extensive support system he has in NYC. I also like that Joan is her true Watson-self in that she is loyal to Sherlock and his best friend, but she also still questions him if she doesn’t quite get where he’s coming from. I also love John Noble’s Moreland Holmes—I have no doubt that Sherlock will have plenty of run ins with him and Joan will be right there at his side.
