Supergirl and the CW :)

I am rather thrilled that Supergirl is moving to the CW for various reasons: but chief among them should be the improvement in writing. Melissa Benoist can easily handle being the lead, so I’d love to see the show dig in deeper into her discovering her powers and improving on being a superhero. I also think there should be more stories involving the DEO, Hank and her sister Alex, especially their trying to find her dad.
I do love Cat Grant and Winn and of course Max Lord but no romance with James Olsen—he’s the Lana Lang of the show and that is not a compliment. Plus, SUpergirl being on the CW will make more The Flash crossovers happen.
I loved how Elementary ended the Morland Holmes storyline with Sherlock’s dad taking his own Reichenbach Fall with his agreeing on a suicide mission o destroy Moriarty’s criminal empire. I wish Joshua Vikner had been left as a villain for next year because the actor had presence but maybe this means Natalie Dormer will make an appearance?
And it can’t be said enough that I adore how Joan is loyal to Sherlock to the core. He doesn’t need to cut himself off from his circle of friends and to be alone for the rest of his life. He knows he needs his friends around him as a support system and he wants to be a part of all of their lives as well.
I still need to catch up on Supernatural and The Blacklist—more to be added.

Date: 2016-05-14 08:28 pm (UTC)I personally don't mind Jimmy as a sideline love plot, mainly because they're not constantly shoving Kara/Jimmy down our throats the way SV did for Clark/Lana. I do wish they'd ignore love plots entirely for a little while though. I love seeing the interactions between Cat and Kara most.
I'd love for there to be more exploration about Alex's dad- I'm not entirely convinced he is dead.
