I just finished this pretty cool book called The Intrigue at Highbury, and if you think the title sounds kind of Jane Austen-esque, you would be correct.

The author, Carrie Bebris, has created a series called the Mr. and Mrs. Darcy Mysteries and they are rather clever in that she has Elizabeth and Darcy meeting up with other characters in Austen's other books and solving crimes.

In The Intrigue at Highbury, Elizabeth and Darcy meet Emma and Mr. Knightley and they have to solve a murder involving Frank Churchill, Jane Fairfax Churchill and even Miss Bates!  Carrie Bebris does very well with the characters, keeping them very much as Jane Austen created them and her dialog is also pretty spot on, and the mystery was rather compelling.

I an definitely going to continue reading the rest of the books in the series,

It sounds like Clue, Jane Austen style. How fun!

Love these Jane Austen expansion books. There are some good ones out there.

There are some bads ones too, though. Be warned.

Oooooh, that sounds fun! I love the idea of crossing over the Jane Austen novels. Thanks for the rec! :D (Also, I have a customer who is currently obsessed with P&P and P&P spin-offs and I know she hasn't heard of these, so thanks for that too!)
