The post Easter loggieness

I hope everyone who celebrates had a Happy Easter, and if you don't celebrate, I hope you had a lovely Sunday :)
1. The clean up after the ham dinner--damn, but I'm still tired!
2. I'm still annoyed at the changes in the responses/prayers during Mass--they've made them so wordy and purposefully long and drawn out that it's simply obnoxious. In fact, I'm kind of enraged by it, and it might behoove everyone if I stayed away from attending Mass before I pick up one of the new prayer cards and attack someone with it.
3. My boss John likes to say "flavor" in stead of "favor" and I think he thinks it's cute. For example, "Can you do me a flavor and fax that work order to me?" Little does he know that it makes people want to punch him out. And by people, I mean me.
4. The 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking is monumental and very emotional--not just for the relatives from the doomed ship but for humankind. However, this does not mean I want to ever watch that craptastic James Cameron drek ever again.
5. I like that there is a new H50 episode to look forward to, but I don't know if learning Max's backstory will be all that riveting.

Also, I have to confess that Seamus and I are both Titanic history buffs, and so we loved watching the movie in 3D. Not because of the story, which isn't Shakespeare or anything, but because the 3D special effects honestly made you feel like you were *on* the ship. Except without the freezing to death.
I guess we find the story so fascinating and tragic because the ship was basically a floating Tower of Babel- where almost all the things that went wrong were due to the hubris of man at the time, and so many innocent people paid with their lives. Poor souls. :-(

I totally forgot that they changed the Mass! I haven't been to church in so long that it slipped my mind. The good news is that the next Mass I attend will be Daphne's christening in Ireland this summer, and we're trying to get the priest to say the Mass in Irish. So I won't know what they're saying anyway! Win! ;-)

Date: 2012-04-10 05:21 pm (UTC)I'm glad you can laugh at me pain :):)
I can watch documentaries on the Titanic and enjoy them profusely and I especially liked the exhibit on the sinking that I saw in Las Vegas but I just can't handle how over the top the movie is.
And if I went to Mass and heard it in another language, I'd love the crap out of it, too :)
