How much do I love it when unexpected countries win medals?

Good for the British men's gymnastic team for pulling off a historic bronze medal in the team event--that is so fantastic.
And I love that the Mexican men won a silver in Mens' sychronized diving--good for them :)

Of course I love it when my fellow Americans win medals but the athletes who come out of nowhere and win an unexpected medal are always a great surprise and make for a great competition and in a lot of ways, in means more for them because they weren't favorites and it just so happens that it was their night--sometimes it's just a combination of training and good karma.

Now onto more swimming, more diving and more gymnastics--WOO HOO!!

I have to admit, I didn't think I was that bothered about the Olympics. I did see the torch when it came to my town and the Opening Ceremony(OH MY. the emotions I felt and the tears I had!), but I've found myself watching quite a bit of it.

The coverage over here is amazing and I'm really keeping up to date with the medal table, it's definitely a lot more exciting than I thought! :)

Alright, another Olympic convert :)

I don't think you can help getting caught up in the excitement, especially when you can hear the crowd cheering and you see the athletes doing there thing--it's quite inspiring :)

It is amazing to hear! Esp, hearing all the cheers for Team GB. (but I would say that lol)

and it's amazing how young some of the athletes are, but the talent they have is fantastic!

Did you watch the Opening Ceremony?

My allergies starting acting up on Friday, so I was kind of out of it during the Opening Ceremonies, but I did get to see Kenneth Branagh in his top hat and I got to watch the Parade of Nations which is always my favorite part :)
