Weirdness abounds my friends!

Damn, but sometimes real life strangeness throws me for a loop.


1.  I started taking blood pressure medicine in August because as my doctor so succintly put it, "diet and exercise aren't cutting it" and now that I'm 40, it's not going to get any better.  Weirdly enough, both of my parents and older brother were all put on blood pressure medicine in their 40's, so I guess I'm in good company, but now I find myself oddly cold.  I actually walked into an air conditioned room and shivered.  I've never done that before--soon I'm going to be wearing sweaters in restaurants and in the movies--YIKES!!  :)

2.  I got a flu shot yesterday--my very first one--and I was so tired I feel asleep before 10 pm.  All I could think was thank God it wasn't next week because it's the season premiere for H50.  Am I a hopeless fangirl or what?  :)

3.  Now for some work related nonsense:  Marianne is convinced that John is going to do something to hurt her daughter just to get back at her.  She's working herself up into a frenzy and she's asking me to let her know if he leaves work early and she's threatening to quit if John isn't fired.  Meanwhile, the only thing John has done is send his daughter to the same school and sign her up for Irish dance lessons.  He's never approached Marianne's daughter or even mentioned trying to speak to her--yes, he's a jackass but he wouldn't hurt a child.  And Marianne looks like a loon.

4.  You have no idea how much it hurts me to actually point out that the erstwhile Uncle Johnny isn't in the wrong.  The pain, the pain!

LOL!! There's nothing wrong with wearing sweaters in restaurants and in the movies!! And at the mall and walking by the beach. In my defense they really crank up the A/C and the beach well it's freaking cold even when the temperature hits the triple digits.

And in fairness to my workplace, it's really only these two nut jobs who are the problem. Everyone else is relatively sane :)

Dear Lord, that woman just wants her life to be a Lifetime movie, doesn't she?

And I have NEVER gone to the movies without a sweater or jacket. You might as well walk right into a fridge.

I think she loves drama and fully expects to be treated like a victim even though John really hasn't done anything to her daughter. Yes, he's the biggest asshole walking this earth, but I don't think he'd purposefully hurt a child.
