Yesterday was such a lovely day.



"Newsies" was the musical we eventually chose, and man oh man was it superb!  The dance sequences were insanely complicated and very acrobatic--no wonder it won the Tony for best choreography. 

We also had a nice lunch at an Irish pub, had time to walk around and look at the decorations and the weather was great too--a little windy but not too cold.

All in all, a truly fabulous day :)

The Playwrights Pub or somewhere else? I am very jealous "Newsies" and "Book of Mormon" are the 2 plays I'm dying to see. Glad you had a good time

I think the restaurant's name was "Jack's Place" or words to that effect--it was around where the theater was, maybe 40th street?

And you will love "Newsies"--the dance sequences are insane :)

It is funny that we always seemed to choose Irish pubs when we go to NYC and my mom usually gets the Shepherd's pie and I get fish and chips. And of course we have to have a Harp's with it :)

Am jealous. I'd really like to see Newsies when it goes on tour. I was one of those girls fangirling the movie when I was young. Cheesy as hell, but I support musical movies!

I loved the original movie with Christian Bale--it's almost as cheesetastic as "Swing Kids" which I also adored :):)
