My prayers go out to all of the people and their families hurt in the explosions--a definite act of terrorism but is it domestic or international? What an incredibly tragic day.
I wonder if the London Marathon will be cancelled this weekend? I wouldn't blame your city if they did cancel it because you don't want to give the psychos a chance to hurt more innocent people.
As far as I'm.aware, it's still going ahead but with beefed-up security. Besides, anyone with nefarious plans knows there'll be extreme scrutiny this time. They'd be incredibly stupid to try anything now.
While runners crossed the finish line, Americans as a whole meet our government's deadline for 2012 taxes. The fact that Boston, the city that threw tea into the harbor, and from which revolution started, suffered these bombings on Patriot's Day, I believe are all connected. The fact that the bombs went off at the finish line at Boston's highest profile event tells me someone will take credit.
And if not, not to worry, the assholes will be found. If there's anything I know about this city, Boston won't let this shit fly.
