New Year's Eve at the movies--WOO HOO!!
Dec. 31st, 2015 10:13 pmHello my dear friends, its New Year’s Eve and I just wanted to check in and hope you are all having a lovely night. This is my last 2015 post, so I am going to do a bit of posting randomness and it will contain spoilers for The Force Awakens:

Merry Christmas and Happy Thursday!
Dec. 25th, 2015 12:18 pmI hope all of my fellow Christians are having a beautiful and peaceful Christmas and if you don't celebrate the holiday, I hope you are having a fabulous Thursday:):)
( Allow me to joyfully squee :):) )

So, it’s December, let the Christmas cheer commence!
But first, I get to celebrate my birthday and I received an early present when I got to see the musical The Book of Mormon the day after Thanksgiving. The show was as joyous, as hysterically funny and as awesome as I knew it would be--I will be asking for the original Broadway cast album for Christmas this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 26th, 2015 09:58 amWe're going to dinner at my brother's house, so all we have to do today are bring the pies and watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. I'm also loving that I have a freakin' four day weekend :):)
First, Happy Halloween everybody! I love seeing all of the kids trick or treating—they are just too damn cute in their costumes. :):) ( Family and the theater squeeing :):) )
Happy Labor Day!
Sep. 7th, 2015 11:55 amI hope all my fellow Americans are enjoying their day off and that their three day weekend was awesome and to all my other f-listers, Happy Monday :):)
I need to tell you all to see this film:( The Gift )

Happy 4th of July!
Jul. 4th, 2015 12:44 pmI hope all of my fellow Americans are having a lovely 4th of July and for all of my other friends, I hope your Saturday is a good one :):) The weather is kind of overcast, a little humid but not too hot, so overall, I am happy :):)
I saw the newest Terminator movie and I enjoyed the insane action sequences but the time line/time travelling stuff got really confusing, but it's okay--I just went with it :):)

And for my other lj friends, Happy Monday! I know that I am enjoying my day off and attempting to work on my Chlex story challenge--I know what I want to happen, but I'm struggling with the words.
I did see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead yesterday—that was the last of the three play series I had at the Wilma theater. I enjoy the crap out of Tom Stoppard plays and this one is particularly brilliant because it takes these two Shakespearian side characters that no one really thinks about and makes them infinitely human. Truly brilliantly done.
( Now I have some complaints about the Supernatural finale: )

Happy Easter!
Apr. 5th, 2015 10:35 amI hope everyone who celebrates has a Happy Easter and/or a Happy Passover and if neither applies, a Happy Sunday! :):) I'm planning on eating a lot of ham, pineapple stuffing, and of course chocolate eggs, but I also need to leave room for Peeps and jelly beans--it's a full day I tell ya :):)

Mar. 9th, 2015 01:57 pmWhy yes, I am crazy :):) This is going to sound strange, but now that I’m an adult, I really enjoy the more "bready" desserts and by "bready" I mean scones, Irish soda bread and hot cross buns. ( Are you intrigued yet? )
Happy New Year! :)
Jan. 1st, 2015 09:26 amI truly hope everyone had an awesome New Year's Eve and that we will all have a happy and healthy 2015 :)
The Mummer's Day Parade will be on for ten hours with continuous coverage on one of our local Philly channels--I know I say this every year, but I just can't wrap my brain around it. At all.

New Year's Eve--WOO HOO!!
Dec. 31st, 2014 09:30 pmSo, I took a half day vacation from work and I saw the final Hobbitt movie and it was wonderful. As fabulous as all of the actors are--Aidan Turner and Dean O'Gorman are especially excellent as Kili and Fili--it's Martin Freeman who really brings all of the heart to the movie and it's his reactions that you keep waiting for when you're watching the film.
I just came back from a nice New Year's Eve dinner--the food was wonderful but the company was kind of painful and I wonder how awful it would be to spend the last day of the year just chilling out at home. I might try that next year.

We decided not to go to Midnight Mass--turns out that drinking pumpkin cider makes me extemely sleepy--so we went to Mass this morning and it was lovely. Now I can relax until our lovely Christmas dinner with my brother and his family--WOO HOO!!
Please have a wonderful and peaceful day :):)

Nov. 27th, 2014 11:21 amI hope all of my fellow Americans are having a very Happy Thanksgiving and if you're not celebrating, I hope you have a fabulous Thursday :):)
Please take a moment to be thankful for the friends and family in your life and make sure to fill up on turkey, stuffing and pie--it's what the pilgrims would have wanted :):)

Tara and Johnny for the win!
Nov. 23rd, 2014 06:19 pmI am enjoying the crap out of Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir doing the commentating for US figure skating competitions--the Grand Prix has never been this interesting and fascinating. They are knowledgeable, funny and just blend together perfectly as a team. Take that Bezic--you suck :):)
I have decided to attempt to bake a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving this year--wish me luck :):)
